Description

This set of ‘pearls' outlines the most important advances in cancer therapy for 2016 that have literally revolutionized, changed or modified how we care for the veterinary cancer patient. The audience will be asked to participate in this session of active learning and exciting advances about how more and more cancers are being PREVENTED and TREATED with diet, drugs, procedures and approaches that YOU can employ in your practice.

1. Define ten of the most important advances in cancer care in pets and understand how each will improve quality of life

2. Understand how to employ each of the ten most important advances in cancer care and define how each will enhance the ability to provide compassionate care to pets with other disorders or diseases

3. Define the novel mechanisms of each of the ten treatments and approaches and how understanding how this will be the basis of new discoveries in the future
