Since 1976, Owen E. McCafferty has devoted his professional efforts to the provision of tax, accounting, and practice management services for the veterinary profession. Mr. McCafferty collaborated in developing the VETEC formula for determining the value of a veterinary practice as well as assisted the primary authors of the CAPNA Chart of Accounts. He is a widely published author in the fields of veterinary financial and practice management and is co-author of the book THE BUSINESS OF VETERINARY PRACTICE. Mr.McCafferty has presented lectures in veterinary practice management throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean Basin, Japan, England, Ireland, and France since 1977. He is also a founding member and present shareholder of Veterinary Study Groups, Inc. and Companion Animal Practices, North America.

Cash flow is the life blood in any veterinary practice. This course will cover high accounts receivables balances, collectability, payables, capital expenditures, lines of credit, borrowing money, and day to day planning vs. rainy day planning for your veterinary business operations.
